Description

  1. The argan tree only grows in the Souss-Massa region of southwestern Morocco.
  2. The argan tree produces fruit in July and August each year.
  3. When collected, the argan fruit resembles an olive.
  4. Processing involves peeling the fruit’s skin, removing its stone, extracting the nut, and pressing it to produce argan oil.
  5. Around 300 pounds of argan fruit can produce one gallon of 100% argan oil.
  6. Pure argan oil should be stored at room temperate in the shade, not in the refrigerator.
  7. Good quality argan oil needs to be filtered three times in order to get rid of impurities.
  8. Argan oil is a rich source of vitamin E, required for healthy skin and hair.
  9. Argan oil’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds may also help treat skin conditions… moisturizing skin, maintaining elasticity, reducing redness and inflammation, and healing wounds.
